Hello Friends.
It's been a couple of weeks since having a chance to post some new art, and I'm sorry for that- I've been playing catch up with the project I'm working on and kinda lost track of time. I finally got a chance to do a little free drawing and thought I'd do a new "Have You Been Reading..." installment (yes, that's been trademarked).
This week: Sixth Gun! I've been doodling some of the characters as warm ups in the last week or two and thought I'd put together a drawing in homage to the book. I really love this story and the art is fantastic- check out this book if you haven't already, it's one of my favorites and there is a lot to learn from the storyteling. I don't know why I picked Fournier to be the big image in the center, other than I just had a hankering to draw his face (and I have a hunch he will be sticking around in the book for a bit). It was nice to break away from the computer and just cut loose. I'll be returning to the drawing board at the end of next week so I should have some more odds and ends to post soon :)

I love this. Now just hoping this sketch prefaces you working on the title, maybe a one-shot or spin off mini...?
ReplyDeleteNah, nothing like that- just wanted to draw something new to loosen up some. Love this book though. Oni is kind enough to send free books out but I can never wait for the comps to come to pick this one up, so good.
